Montclair, NJ- The Department of Campus Recreation has announced the Hawk on Wheels Summer Adventure Program as an effort to promote the new Hawk on Wheels Bike Rental Program. The department has hand selected five Montclair State University students to participate in the ten-week challenge who entered in a Twitter competition.
The adventures will start on Tuesday, June 4th and run all the way to Monday, August 19th. During these ten weeks, the participating students will be given weekly challenges that they must accomplish and submit photographs for proof of completion. These photo submissions will be posted on the department's blog for all to see.
All challenges given to the participants aim to promote health, wellness and fun. Any participant that successfully completes the challenge will receive a prize pack. To follow the participants as they go on their adventures, please go to http://msucampusrec.tumblr.com/.
About Hawk on Wheels Bike Rental Program
The Hawk on Wheels Bike Rental Program is brand new for the Department of Campus Recreation and the Montclair State community. It was launched in the beginning of May 2013 and was the talk of the campus right off the bat.
The program has 40 bicycles to be rented out and interested students can choose between weekly or monthly rental periods. The cost is a low five dollars a week, or $15 for a month. These affordable prices provide students with an alternative commute around campus and to the surrounding areas.
